Our client maintains and repairs Auxiliary Power Units (APU) and pneumatic components of more than 100 major airlines from all over the world. With these components, aircrafts can operate independently. The equipment that the company repairs and maintains helps their customers' planes with power, cabin pressure and air conditioning. For our client, we are searching for a Shop (Production) Supervisor for the APUs | Dutch | 40 hours

Responsibilities:

Do you have the power to manage and guide a team of specialist technicians? Then this function is written for you! In this role you are leading the specialists from the APU team and you have a lot of communication with other departments. You have direct influence on the production line as you evaluate the workload, organize the work within the team together with the planner and check the availability of resources. You are clear about everyone's responsibilities, communicate about this in a constructive way and have a natural predominance. You also solve bottlenecks in the progress of the work, possibly in collaboration with other departments. In addition to initiating and supporting improvement actions to optimize processes, you also monitor the quality, quantity (objectives) and the policies and procedures of the department. A hugely important and versatile function! Finally, you also conduct performance and appraisal interviews as part of your responsibility for a team of 25 people. Requirements:

  • Higher professional education work level (this may be assessed by means of an assessment);
  • Excellent command of Dutch and English;
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing a group (25+) in a production environment;
  • Knowledge and experience in the (aviation) MRO sector is an advantage
  • Open, communicative, easy going person, who is able to meet deadlines and be strict when necessary
