Being an HR Employee Relations Specialist you will be connected with the employees all over EMEA, while being surrounded by inspiring colleagues with different nationalities day in and day out.
As an HR Employee Relations Specialist you are the initial point of contact for labor and employee relations issues and concerns, raised by managers and employees.
Your passion for the “Human Capital” can be empathized by working with employees and managers, maintaining a positive employee relations environment and by providing coaching and advisory support to people managers on progressive discipline, performance management, conflict resolution, and employment risk matters.
All this, while ensuring a consistent and aligned approach when managing employee and labor relations across the businesses.
On Employee Relations side, you will provide support to HR Business Partners, managers and employees. You will also conduct initial investigations or inquiries on employee complaints and/or disciplinary issues and recommend appropriate resolutions. Furthermore, you prepare and distribute information regarding changes or implementation on policies, practices and procedures to all employees.
On Labor Relations side, you will support, facilitate and be the point of contact to management and employees on issues that arise in the workplace by consistently interpreting, applying and administering company policies, labor contracts and collective bargaining agreements.
Furthermore you develop and maintain strong working relationships with various Works Council liaisons and conduct thorough investigations of complaints, grievances and other employee issues and contract compliance.
Within “Leave Management”, you review long term Leave of Absence requests and work injuries, ensure a prompt return by advising, communicating and working closely with HR Operations Representatives, third party vendors, employees, and managers.
The HR Employee Relations Specialist we are looking for,
- has a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field;
- has 3-5 years’ experience managing Employee and Labor relations (knowledge of labor and employment regulations in Germany and exposure to Netherlands; UK or other European countries is preferred)
- has experience and relevant knowledge in handling grievance investigations and resolution
- speaks both German and Dutch fluently
