We are currently seeking a Finance Analyst (mid-level) for our client – an international events company – with offices in Amsterdam.

Financial Analyst you will assist the Financial Managers to report and communicate all financial

information in order to aid the board and colleagues across various departments. You will work closely with the Financial Manager on all aspects of accounting and communicate closely with the Reporting team on month end, quarter end and SOX compliance.

In this role, you are commercially minded and able to interpret financial data in an accurate manner. You have strong communication skills and are able to communicate with financial and non-financial management up to Board level.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Finance Manager in streamlining & improving forecasting processes
  • Actively drive towards better practice to create operational efficiencies & cost savings
  • Review and complete month-end Profit & Loss reports with operational heads to aid variance
  • analysis and month-end reporting accuracy
  • Work alongside the Finance Manager review month-end reports before consolidation
  • Help prepare annual budgets and twice monthly forecasts
  • Review, complete and distribute monthly board reports
  • Assist the Finance Manager in providing business plans to operational heads to drive business
  • Profitability
  • Help create and monitor operational KPIs – identify trends and areas for investigation
  • Manage responsibilities for timely completion of all tasks, ‘get it right first time, on time’ Communicate closely with the General Ledger accountants & reporting function to improve

  • Provide cover in the absence of the Finance Manager
  • Review show costings and accrued revenue schedules

Requirements:

  • Higher education in Finance or Accountancy
  • Studying towards a professional accountancy qualification – CIMA / ACCA or an equivalent qualification
  • Experience working within a similar role/at a similar level
  • Knowledgeable of SOX compliance
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work under your own initiative/with minimal supervision and meet deadlines

Please note that the role will require extra hours during busy periods in order to meet the demands of the business, including occasional travel.
