An international, diverse and well-known company in the FMCG sector, located in more than sixty countries worldwide, is looking for a talented and professional Account Manager - German speaking - to join a dynamic and target-driven sales and business development team and to deal with the German market. The main responsibilities of the role will be dedicated to account management, sales, cross-selling and business development across four different categories of products in the FMCG sector. This position is very diverse and dynamic and requires dedication, professionalism and an entrepreneurial mindset. I'm looking for someone interested in market trends, in learning about the industry and thinking outside the box; in this role you will deal with volatile industries where acting at the right time is key.

Your main responsibilities as an Account Manager:

  • Creating targeted sales strategies for every account
  • Help in growing the business and accounts in order to be as profitable as possible
  • Analyzing the market and the portfolio of clients to identify new business opportunities
  • Ensuring that pricing strategies are in place and fall within the guidelines
  • Focusing on cross-selling, closing deals and managing the contracts' execution
  • Meeting and exceeding sales targets; being involved in targets settings
  • Keeping yourself updated and conducting market researches, on market trends and innovations in the industry, competitors strategies and supply and demand in your targeted client base
  • Keeping in line with the business processes and strategies and ensure risks are managed effectively

Main Requirements for the Account Manager position:

  • fluency in English and German
  • 3 years (minimum) of experience in a sales/commercial role, preferably in the B-to-B market and within an international organization
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree
  • Commercial attitude, entrepreneurial mindset and goal-driven
  • Great communication skills, able to built strong and long-lasting relationship with clients and stakeholders
  • Team player
  • Curious and eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Good at multitasking and prioritizing
  • Independent and pro-active
