For our client in Dordrecht – an international company, market leader in its industry – we are currently seeking a Senior IT Engineer to join their global IT team.


The Senior IT Engineer will keep internal users as productive as possible by maintaining infrastructure and providing support. This role has a broad focus in managing and supporting applications, tools, services, and infrastructure. As Senior Engineer you will be the ‘go to’ for support and you will guide other members of the team. We are looking for candidate equally comfortable with hands on support to end users too.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the stable operation of the on-prem global network infrastructure and systems by performing the planning, installation, configuration, maintenance, support, and optimization of the infrastructure hardware and software of our offices in primarily in EMEA but can extend to other locations around the world

  • Maintain and Manage all Server windows and Linux operating systems hosted in Datacentre’s globally and in the cloud including trouble shooting, monitoring, patching upgrading and optimization.

  • Responsible for managing Active directories in a hybrid environment and all related server roles such as DHCP, DNS, CA, NPS, WSUS, DFS, GPO etc.

  • Managing Azure AD and O365 roles, such as exchange online, MS teams, MS Intune, Conditional access, MFA, SSO, etc.

  • Managing and supporting MS SCCM on client deployment, creating tasks sequences, application packages, automation in combination with windows autopilot and MS Intune

  • Managing and supporting Tools used by the IT infrastructure team such as Email security, Endpoint security, monitoring tools, auditing tools etc.

  • Supporting and troubleshooting end users requests and incidents on end users’ clients running on Windows10 OS and MacOs

  • Creating PowerShell scripts to create automation tasks

  • Troubleshooting network related issues and work closely with the firewall team

  • Work closely with technology vendor-partners

  • Supporting 3rd party applications used by the business

  • Selecting and implementing new tools or solutions for optimizing IT or business processes

  • Creation of documentation and instructions

  • Provide overall technical and architectural guidance

  • Provide after business hours support when needed

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a System Engineer of which 3 years in a global enterprise environment

  • Excellent communication skills when dealing with end users and

  • eye for detail

  • Knowing where to find solutions for problems, meeting deadlines and being creative if it comes to workarounds

  • Experience working within multidiscipline international team of system Engineers

  • High level technical knowledge of operating systems, virtualization, infrastructure components, networking, voice

  • Strong stakeholder management with global and dispersed teams

  • Experience with ITSM tool to manage incidents, requests, and change management according ITIL processes

  • Contribute to decision-making that affects corporate strategy

  • Systems thinking with excellent analytical skills applied alongside technical skills to identify, triage, troubleshoot and diagnose solutions

  • Work independently as well as a part of cross-functional team to deliver timely results

  • Prioritize multiple tasks in fast-paced work environment is a high-achiever and self-motivating

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent oral and written communication skills in English

  • Able to work under pressure during high impact problems or outages

Technical Skills:

  • All-round AD experience in a multi domain hybrid environment

  • Proven experience with all common Windows server roles DHCP, DNS, CA, NPS, WSUS, DFS, GPO, etc

  • Proven experience with MS SCCM, O365 (management of exchange online, and other admin centres). Teams voice (PBX). Azure (hybrid) AD, MFA, SSO, Conditional access, MS Intune enrolments and policies

  • Strong experience with PowerShell scripting

  • Experience with delivery of virtual applications and/or virtual desktops

  • Experience with Virtualization (Vmware/HyperV)

  • Experience with most common network principals

  • Must have existing knowledge and experience troubleshooting and interpreting problems associated in the above areas and/or able to comprehend in order to escalate issues to other technical team members or 3rd party providers.
