As the Sales Director Europe you will be responsible for setting the sales strategy, ensuring its execution across all diverse markets and driving results in a way that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and productivity. Your data-driven strategic thinking and your strong multicultural influencing skills will turn vision into executable actions.

Your responsibilities    

  • You will manage a team of sales managers across the different markets to deliver sales results
  • You will closely observe the data for the markets and couple it with the feedback from the sales team to optimize the go-to-market approach for the customers.
  • You provide guidance to your team on researching, segmenting and targeting existing/new opportunities with brokers, dealers, OEMs and endemic industry partners to increase market share.
  • You dive into the details and personally get involved with representative customers to improve services and ensure sustainable success.
  • You will work in partnership with your sales managers to ensure that every sales opportunity identified is turned into a sales solution.
  • In close liaison with the MD and HR, you will set up a strong organizational structure of in-house competencies and improve the way-of-working with other departments towards more efficiency and effectiveness.
  • You will become an expert on the company's product suite, values, internal tools and organizational structure to succeed in the market.
  • You support sales performance and build industry partner strategies using management information available
  • As needed, you will take a leadership position and execute internal cross-functional projects that are of key and strategic value to our business.

Requirements

  • 10+ years experience in sales, of which at least 5 years experience in selling digital products
  • Proven experience as Director of sales in a marketplace environment
  • Excellent analytical skills to analyze, problem solve and communicate observations and recommendations
  • Strong focus on the customers and metrics with the persistence to deliver
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal and appropriate level of emotional intelligence to understand audience and messaging impact
  • Relationship skills with the ability to build a quick rapport with international stakeholders and customers remaining professional and knowledgeable
  • Proven leadership experience in managing international teams with ability to grow and coach team members across different geographies/cultures
  • Track record of influencing skills all across the organization: from senior to junior, from local to regional to global
  • Strategic thinker with “hands-on” approach that does not shy away from getting their hands dirty
  • Results-driven attitude to take action and find solutions
  • Motivated and proactive to identify opportunities and challenges beyond your standard job description that can lead to successful outcomes
  • Multi-lingual: Business Professional in English, plus conversational level in another job-relevant European language (Spanish, French, Italian, Dutch, German)
