Our client, a global leader in the toys industry, is seeking a Key Account Manager to join their lively international team at the company's European head office in Amsterdam. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing the sales strategy, and managing customer relationships and business development in your region. You will report directly to the Sales Director Europe and will work closely with the rest of the Sales team to further develop the commercial activities with new and existing customers. Due to the strong international nature of the company, you will closely interact with your colleagues in the European office as well as the company's Headquarters in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Budget, Sales Forecast, Gross Margin for retail and e-commerce customers in your region
  • Development of a growth plan for your region focusing on sustainable long-term growth based on multiple sales drivers (e.g., increase distribution, instore and online execution, optimization of assortment) in close collaboration with the Sales Director
  • Price, promotion, and assortment management
  • Achievement of a profitable sales growth in your area
  • Long-term relationship and loyalty building with (key) retailers both online and retail for the organization
  • Identify and drive new opportunities for the company
  • Responsibility for negotiation and contract management of your accounts
  • Regular travel to customers in your region and trade show attendance (1-2 times per year)
  • Business support to Sales Director Europe 

Requirements:

  • University degree in economics or business administration
  • 4+ years of commercial experience preferably within a similar sector or FMCG (fashion, health and beauty, home and living, etc.)
  • Ideally with a relevant strong and well-established network
  • Sales, negotiation, and contracting skills
  • Analytical and result driven mindset
  • A self-starter, who is flexible to work in an international office environment and remotely
  • Excellent listener and communicator, both verbally and in writing
  • Languages: English and German OR English and Polish
